2023 School Year Message

Welcome back CHS choir family! What an exciting summer our choir program had. The Acapella choir performed June 26th for the dedication of the Children's Memorial Service at Cherry Creek Park. What a privilege to sing to honor those in our community who have experienced tragedy and lift their spirits with our music. Next, the Showstoppers performed at our annual 4th of July Parade on the square. It never get's old performing songs that are uplifting & honoring to those who have sacrificed for our freedom.

As we embark on a new year, I'm excited to reconnect with the students. With all the many concerts, competitions, and local performances throughout the year, it is great to get a break. However, it is so exciting to get to jump back into a new year with new students and new experiences. Something I want to work towards this year is building stronger connections with every student. There are always going to be deadlines, but it is crucial to incorporate time for connecting with my students. One of the highlights of the school year will be the choir trip to Memphis. Choir trips are the best way to connect with the choir family and make memories for a lifetime. My biggest words of advice are to "BE ALL IN" this year, and get involved. I promise you will get so much more out of your high school choir experience if you truly get plugged in!

Let's have a great year and "BE ALL IN"!!
